Chief Pastor (Major) Pedro Ayebanimiworio Adukpo-Egi IKATA was a prominent military officer, poet, and respected community leader from Nembe, Bayelsa State. A veteran of the Nigerian-Biafran War, he served with distinction and retired as a Major. Following his military career, he became a successful businessman and an influential figure in his community, holding leadership roles such as Chairman of the Nembe Chiefs’ Council.
A devoted Christian, he was also a poet whose works inspired many, including his famous poem “I Believe.” He passed away on August 7, 2021, leaving a lasting legacy of leadership, service, and commitment to his people.
