HRM Harris Sellenanabo Eseimokumoh MD (1930-2012) was a distinguished medical physician from Ebedebiri community in Bayelsa State. He made significant contributions to the medical sector of the Niger Delta, specializing in complex procedures such as operating on babies with hydrocephalus. After a successful medical career, he became the first-class traditional ruler of the Tarakiri Kingdom in 2000, bringing innovations to traditional administration. He was a dedicated professional, a member of various medical associations, and an author of several medical publications. He passed away on March 21, 2012.
Prince A.E.O Amgbare was a remarkable ex-boxer who achieved significant success and garnered numerous medals and laurels for himself and the Old Rivers State Sports Council. He was a 1st National Sport Festival Middle Weight Gold Medalist in Lagos in 1975, a Bronze Medalist at the 1973 Sport Festival in Berlin, Germany, and Nigeria’s only Olympic Gold Medalist in Budapest in 1974.
