Chief Samuel Fieteboghabofa Kombo-Igbeta (1909-2005) was a distinguished teacher, principal, and administrator from the Niger Delta. Born in Nembe, he left a significant mark during the colonial era and served as a Commissioner under Alfred Diete-Spiff’s military government. A devoted Anglican, he was also a community chief and played a pivotal role in the establishment of the Nembe National Grammar School. He passed away in 2005 at the age of 95.

Christopher Jack Alazigha (1937-2016) was a renowned educationist and community leader from Okoloba town in Bayelsa State. Over a career spanning several decades, he made significant contributions to education in the Niger Delta, serving as a teacher, principal, and administrator. Alazigha held various leadership roles, including Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Teachers in the old Yenagoa province and the first Executive Chairman of the Bayelsa State Independent Electoral Commission. After retiring from public service, he founded Erepa Group of Schools in Yenagoa, which continues to thrive today. Alazigha was a steadfast Anglican and a strong advocate for the Izon language, leaving behind a legacy of education, leadership, and community service. He passed away in 2016 at the age of 79.
