Tari Joshua (1975-2019)

Tari Joshua (1975–2019) was a renowned Nigerian journalist and sports presenter, known for his impactful work on African Independence Television (AIT). Born in Okpoama, Bayelsa State, he began his career as a cameraman before becoming one of Nigeria’s leading sports reporters. Tari covered major international sports events, including the 2002 Korea/Japan World Cup, and was also a pioneer in reporting health issues, working closely with the late Professor Dora Akunyili on NAFDAC programs. He served as the General Manager of AIT-Elebele in Bayelsa and was a dedicated philanthropist. Tari passed away unexpectedly in 2019 at the age of 44.
